Holi in the Streets of Agra

AGRA, India — The rowdy Holi celebrations were still in full force when I left the peace and quiet of the Baby Taj, with throngs of teenage boys — and the occasional adult — celebrating the springtime holiday with handfuls of colored dye.

Not being a local, I didn’t dare get out of my open-air Bajaj three-wheeled taxi to partake of the festivities, though I did manage to get caught in the crossfire of a purple stream of dye as I rode through the hubbub.

Next stop: The train station.
