KATHMANDU, Nepal — Once back on the now-familiar streets of Kathmandu, I found myself able to navigate more or less like a native — as long as I didn’t wander far from the tourist enclave of Thamel.
It was a leisurely stroll where I was again surrounded by the buzz of everyday activity. Even the sight of a rickshaw driver grabbing some rest and relaxation in his cab felt like a warm welcome.
It was so that I hardly believed I was to move on from here soon.
Next stop: New Delhi, India.
